the RAINBOW QUEST as seen on Friday during the day,by Liegh Cement Company was involved in a mishap by Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges Friday night the mast of the ship grazed the overpass of the Bridges. The Bridges were closed for several hours due to inspections for damages. luckily no damage was sustained.
The above huge ship delivered gravel to Lieghcement co. went for repair at the Navy Yard *see photo. a few days later was hauled away into sea, and then again into Liegh cement. a few tug boats were on hand.
The tug boats are continually on the job assisting with any and every type of floats
The East River today became a popular place for tourists and also many City people that take advantage of the comfort of riding on boat to work , shopping, and visit the sick at local Hospitals located on other side of river.
as you can see from photos and videos many different and diverse cruising ships take this route from the tranquil sailing boat to huge tankers.
the East River Ferry became New-York delight thanks to Mayor Mikel Bloomberg
Evidently people cant have enough of it, on Sundays, the ships are jammed with adults and children enjoying
the sun and waves that are so easily accessible to all.
enjoy!
